Shuitu Cloud – the world’s first full-process industrial internet platform for the steel sector

Shuitu Cloud industrial internet platform was born out of the company’s long-standing commitment to industrial software development and its deep understanding of industrial settings and applications.

It is the first metallurgical industrial internet platform covering full steel processes, constituting a major sector of China’s construction of New Infrastructure. Via the platform and other intelligent applications, production data can continuously create values.

This platform provides cloud solutions for intelligent steel manufacture. It implements intellisense, cross-disciplinary resources allocation and coordinated optimisation to tap the potential of production data.

On this platform, all data barriers are removed and all models become more adaptable. Stronger data connectivity enables critical processes to be accurately identified and centralised in complicated working environments.

Shuitu Cloud’s benchmark applications to multiple steel plants – Baowu Shaogang, Baowu Zhanjiang and WISCO – have achieved connections of over 10,000 sets of equipment and facilities. Remarkable enhancements in quality and efficiency have been recorded at these plants.

This year saw a revision updating Shuitu Cloud industrial internet platform 1.0 to 2.0. Product systems and solutions are being enriched to build a data-driven production and ops mode – an innovative motive power to continuously improving productivity in an intelligent steelworks.

An agreement between CISDI and China’s Yongfeng Steel, signed in May 2020, signifies this platform’s first full-process, systematic application to a greenfield steelworks – including platform products and intelligent production control software.

It will upgrade Shuitu Cloud applications from an individual workshop to an entire steel plant and cover all processes, including the plant’s upstream and downstream users.
