CISDI Thermal and Environmental Engineering Co’s star ZnAlMg-plating tech and equipment is about to transform a galvanising line at Baowu Bayi Steel in China’s Xinjiang.

The project will modify the old line into a continuous hot ZnAlMg-plating line, which is expected to produce 350,000 tonnes a year.

It will house CISDI-supplied machinery, an annealing furnace, strip post-plating cooling unit, electric, instrument and automation systems, high-span building and utilities.

ZnAlMg-plating tech and equipment highlights:

ü  An automatic narrow lap welder at the line inlet 

ü  An advanced looper system featuring automatic centring, tension closed-loop and absolute quantity measurement control functions 

ü  A cleaning section applying horizontal deep-tank electrolytic cleaning tech

ü  A horizontal, continuous annealing furnace with a process section to be heated by open fire and gas tubes

ü  Dual-crossing limiting control and impulse combustion at annealing furnace, process model-based control and multi-stage excess heat recovery technologies, achieving super-accurate model control and low energy consumption

ü  Patent stage coolers applied for strip’s post-plating cooling section, helping produce high-quality, stable strips.
