CISDI is to build the world’s largest intelligent BFG holder for Chifeng Yuanlian United Steel Co. in Inner Mongolia.

The project, which CISDI is contracted to deliver to an EPC mode, will see CISDI’s advanced, smart, safe, green, low-consumption and high-efficiency tech and equipment create a gas holder with automatic alarming, interlocking and remote centralised control, which will operate without manpower.

The 165,000-cubic-metre BFG holder is a one-stage Wiggins type with a membrane seal.

It will achieve a maximum pressure of 13 kilopascals and its piston will be capable of running at a super-fast six metres per minute.

A low-stress barrel and self-balancing piston structure will give significant advantages in terms of high pressure, large volume, huge capacity, super stability and longer service life.
