An innovative OG wet dust collection system developed by CISDI Thermal and Environmental Engineering Co is bringing about outstanding results for Baowu Bayi Steel in China’s Xinjiang province.

Improving the primary dust collection system at its basic oxygen furnace was an important part of Bayi Steel’s environmental protection programme and its pursuit of green, low-carbon developments.

CISDI Thermal’s OG package supply increased cleaning efficiency to 99.9 per cent and dust content in the cleaned fume is now 30mg/Nm³ or less.

The team streamlined the dedusting process flow by making full use of the existing layout and improving dust collection.

The upgraded system has reduced resistance loss by 2-3 kilopascals and has saved 33 per cent of water consumption.

In addition, the innovative OG tech leads to a lower fault ratio of dust collection equipment and extends the fan’s service life.
