A state-of-the-art pulverised coal injection system has been hot commissioned at Desheng Steel in China’s Sichuan Province.

Coal feeding, pulverising and blowing went smoothly into operation on the same day, and were accepted by Desheng’s Steel and Vanadium Co’s safety control, production and ironmaking sections.

The PCI system is centralised and shared by blast furnaces 3 and 4.

PCI buildings are combined. The fully open, reinforced concrete structures consist of drying oven, pulverising, collection and injection bays.

A state-of-the-art technological process has been applied, with “one-touch’ operating injection. Onsite working conditions have become cleaner, operators have been relieved of heavy duties and the plant’s efficiency has been enhanced.

With the PCI in operation, blast furnace 4 has entered the final stage of development – the building and commissioning of the BPRT, plant-wide power receiving and stove heat-up.

CISDI will be striving to fulfil the EPC-based projects on schedule and to high quality standards to ensure the entire blast furnace project is a success.
