CISDI has won two valuable orders for its cost-saving ultra-high-temperature, sub-critical power generation units.

One is to be supplied to Guigang Steel in the Guangxi Province, along with a BFG holder, and another to Hongda Steel in the Shanxi Province.

The unit gives a 15 per cent increase in power generation efficiency over the high-temperature, ultra-high-pressure power generation unit.

It also reduces gas emissions to zero, helping achieve a cleaner production for the steel plant.

Both companies are pursuing boosts in green credentials, profit and competitiveness.

The project for Guigang Steel comprises a 330t/h ultra-high-temperature, sub-critical gas boiler, a 100MW intermediate primary reheating condensing turbine and a 110MW power generator.

It will achieve a zero gas emission target by eradicating 2,080 million Nm³ (BFG equivalent) of gas emission, and will generate around 800x10⁶ kWh electricity a year, saving the steel plant around US$ 73 million on its out-sourced power spend.

The project is the first of its kind at Hongda Steel and features a 330t/h ultra-high-temperature, sub-critical gas boiler, a 100MW intermediate primary reheating, air-cooled steam turbine and a 110MW power generator.

It will reduce 2,000 million Nm³ (BFG equivalent) gas emissions, achieving zero gas emission.

Around 760x10⁶ kWh of electricity will be generated per year, saving the steel plant US$77 million on outsourced power costs.

Both projects aim for profiting while enhancing steel plant’s competitiveness.
