Going smart – CISDigital to transform one of China’s biggest steel producers
Date:2020/4/17 Source: CISDI
CISDI
intelligence is set to play an important role in transforming one of China’s largest
steelmakers into a smart-working
producer with impressive industry credentials.
Nanjing Steel,
a large steel enterprise with an annual production capacity of 10 million
tonnes, will become one of China’s most competitive steel enterprises when
CISDigital’s Integrated Control Centre is integrated into the plant’s
pan-ironmaking procedures.
The
intelligence will enable smart decision-making, operation and control and smart
production.
Provided by
CISDigital on an EPC basis, the ICC will harness 60 years of data collated by
the steel plant’s production and management systems.
It will
increase coordination throughout the plant. The central control rooms for 14 of
its procedures - from stockyard to sintering, coking and blast furnace
ironmaking - will be integrated.
As a result,
the plant’s safety and technological integration will be enhanced. The ICC will
create borderless organisations for production and management, improve
production efficiency and aim to achieve leading industry indicators.
ICC products
have carved out a benchmark role for CISDI in China’s intelligent manufacturing
industry.
Nanjing Steel is the third of China’s 10 million tonne steel enterprises to apply CISDI’s ICC products. It follows in the footsteps of WISCO and Baowu Group’s Shaogang plant.
